Common Materials Of Stainless Steel Hex Tubing

Stainless steel hex tubing is a solid strip of stainless steel with a hexagonal cross-section. Because of the characteristics of stainless steel hex tubing, it is widely used in ocean, chemical industry, architecture, and other fields.

Common Material of Stainless Steel Hexagonal Tube stainless steel hex tubing

1) 316L stainless steel hex tubing performance: corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, good welding performance

2) The properties of 316 stainless steel hex tubing: molybdenum and carbon content are low. The pitting corrosion resistance of 316 stainless steel is much better than 304 stainless steel in marine and chemical industrial environments. After welding or stress relief, it has excellent grain boundary corrosion resistance and good corrosion resistance without heat treatment.

3) Performance of 304L hexagon steel tube: 304L stainless steel is a variant of 304 stainless steel with low carbon content, which is used for welding occasions. Lower carbon content minimizes the number of carbides precipitated in the heat affected zone near the weld, and the precipitation of carbides may lead to intergranular corrosion (welding corrosion) of stainless steel in some environments.

4) 304 hexagonal steel tube performance: 304 is a versatile stainless steel material, rust resistance than 200 series of a stainless steel material is stronger. High-temperature resistance is also good, up to 1000 – 1200 degrees. It has exceptional stainless corrosion resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance. In addition, 304 stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance in nitric acid with boiling temperature below 65%. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkali solution and most organic and inorganic acids.
