How to Process Steel Hydraulic Tubing Correctly?

The processing of steel hydraulic tubing can be divided into cutting, bending and welding. Pipe processing mainly includes cutting, bending, welding and so on. The quality of pipeline processing has a great influence on the parameters of pipeline system, which is related to the reliable operation of hydraulic system. Therefore, scientific and reasonable processing methods must be adopted to ensure the processing quality.

- Cutting hydraulic pipe
A hydraulic system with a diameter less than 50 mm can be cut by a wheel cutter. Pipes larger than 50mm in diameter can be machined, such as special cutting machines. Manual welding and oxygen cutting are strictly prohibited. After cutting, the end face and the axial center line of the pipe should be kept as vertical as possible. The cutting surface of the pipe must be flat. Pipelines must be free of burrs, scales and slag.

- Bending hydraulic pipe
Pipe bending is preferred on mechanical or hydraulic pipe benders. Generally, pipes below 38mm are cold-formed and bended by a bending machine to avoid scaling and to affect the quality of pipes. Bending is not allowed in the process of bending production, and bending can be replaced by stamping elbows and other pipe fittings, because deformation, wall thinning and oxide scales are prone to occur during hot bending.

The bending radius of the pipe should be considered. When the bending radius is too small, the stress concentration in the pipeline can be caused, and the strength of the pipeline can be reduced. The bending radius should not be less than three times the diameter of the pipe. The higher the working pressure of the pipeline, the greater the bending radius. The ellipticity of the elbow after production should not exceed 8%, and the bending angle deviation should not exceed (+1.5m m/m).
