Detailed Examples of Implementation Standards and Classification of Precision Seamless Pipes

In the process of manufacturing some large-scale equipment, we will find that some pipe products are used more or less. Their biggest advantage lies in the seamless connection in the early design process, so as to avoid the trouble caused by leakage. But do you know the implementation standards for precision seamless pipes? Do you know the detailed examples of seamless pipe classification?

Implementation standards for precision seamless pipes:

1. Structural seamless pipe (GB/T8162-2008) is a seamless steel pipe used for general structure and mechanical structure.

2. Seamless steel pipe for fluid transportation (GB/T8163-2008) is a general seamless steel pipe used to transport water, oil, gas and other fluids.

3. Seamless steel tubes for low and medium pressure boilers (GB3087-2008) are high-quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled and cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel tubes. They are used to manufacture superheated steam pipes and boiling water pipes for low and medium pressure boilers of various structures, and to manufacture superheated steam pipes and arch brick pipes for locomotive boilers.

4. Seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers (GB5310-2008) are high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless heat-resistant steel seamless steel pipes. They are used to manufacture the heating surface of high-and-superhigh-pressure water-tube boilers.

5. High-pressure seamless steel pipes for fertilizer equipment (GB6479-2000) are high-quality carbon structural steel and alloy steel seamless steel pipes suitable for chemical equipment and pipelines that can work at a temperature of -40 to 400 ℃ and a pressure value of 10 to 30 Ma.

Detailed examples of seamless pipe classification:

Seamless steel pipes are divided into hot-rolled (extruded) seamless steel pipes and cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipes due to their different manufacturing processes. Cold drawn (rolled) tubes are divided into round tubes and special-shaped tubes. Seamless steel pipes are divided into the following varieties due to their different purposes of use:

1. GB/T8162-1999 (structural seamless steel pipe) is mainly used for general structure and mechanical structure. It is made of such major materials (brands) like carbon steel, 20#, 45# steel; alloy steel Q345, 20Cr, 40Cr, 20CrMo, 30-35CrMo and 42CrMo, etc.

2. GB/T8163-1999 (seamless steel pipe for conveying fluid) is mainly used to convey fluids for engineering and large-scale equipment. It is made of such major materials (brands) like 20# and Q345, etc.

3. GB3087-1999 (seamless steel tube designed for low and medium pressure boiler) is a high-quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled and cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel tube used to manufacture superheated steam pipes and boiling water pipes for low and medium pressure boilers of various structures, and to manufacture superheated steam pipes and arch brick pipes for locomotive boilers. It is made of such major material like10# and 20# steel.

4. GB5310-1995 (seamless steel pipe for high-pressure boiler) is a high-quality seamless steel pipe made of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless heat-resistant steel, and it is used to manufacture the heating surface of high-and-superhigh-pressure water-tube boilers. It is made of such major materials like 20G, 12Cr1MoVG, and 15CrMoG, etc.

5. GB1479-2000 (seamless steel pipe designed for high-pressure fertilizer equipment) is a high-quality carbon structural steel and alloy steel seamless steel pipe suitable for chemical equipment and pipelines that can work at a temperature of -40~400℃ and a pressure value of 10~30Ma. It is made of such major materials like 20#, 16Mn, 12CrMo and 12Cr2Mo, etc.
