Types and Heat Dissipation Principles of Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger Tube

Stainless steel heat exchange tube is placed in the containers and used for exchange the heat between two medias, it is the core component of pressure vessels and other heat exchanger. Stainless steel heat exchange tube has been used more and more widely in our productions. However, there are still many people may not know what stainless steel heat exchange tube is and how does it dissipate the heat, therefore, HUASHANG STEEL will introduce more details to everyone as below:


Ⅰ. Different types of stainless steel heat exchanger tubes


The main material of stainless steel heat exchange tube is stainless steel 304, it uses the outer diameters wall thickness as commonly used size and the digital unit is millimeter. Generally the main outer diameter is between 12-114 and the wall thickness is between 0.5-2.5. The tube length can be customized by customer actual demand. Thereinto, the two largest specifications have been used in industrial applications field are 19*2 and 25*2.


Ⅱ. Three heat transfer methods of stainless steel heat exchanger tube: conduction, convection and radiation


1. Conduction is to transfer the energy by the lower energy particle and the higher energy particle through direct contact collision. It is the common way to transfer the heat and it is mainly used for the heat transfer between the air conditioning refrigerant and the cooling fin.


2. Stainless steel heat exchange tube convection refers the hotter part and the colder part of the air or liquid to make the temperature homogenized through the cyclic rotation and keep the temperature in equilibrium of these two parts. The flow of air driven by the fan in the air conditioning condenser is also one type of the heat dissipation method of "Forced heat convection".


3. Radiation, as the name suggests, it radiates the heat from the heat source directly to the outside world. This process is related to surface color, material and temperature of the heat source. Stainless steel heat exchange tube plays a very limited role in heat dissipation as the radiation speed is lower.


These three heat dissipation methods are not isolated. In daily heat transfer, these three heat dissipation methods are produced at the same time and work together.
