Polishing Method And Development Prospect of Medical Grade Stainless Steel Tube

Three simple polishing methods for medical grade stainless steel tubes

The polishing methods commonly used in medical stainless steel tubes are mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, and electrochemical polishing. These three methods each have their own advantages and disadvantages.

1. Mechanical polishing. After processing, the parts have good leveling and high brightness. This is more suitable for processing simple parts, medium and small products.

2. Chemical polishing. The investment in processing equipment is small, the complicated parts can be thrown, the speed is fast, the efficiency is high, and the sanitary grade stainless steel tube has good corrosion resistance. It is suitable for processing small batches of complex parts and small parts with low brightness requirements.

3. Electrochemical polishing. The advantage is that the specular gloss can be kept long, the process is stable, the pollution is small, the cost is low, and the corrosion resistance is good. It is suitable for mass production and is mainly used in high-grade products, export products, and tolerance products. The processing technology is stable and the operation is simple.

Medical grade stainless steel tube development prospects

Li Cheng, executive director of the Stainless Steel Branch of China Special Steel Enterprise Association, pointed out at the press conference of the 2nd International Modern Ferritic Stainless Steel Conference in Foshan that China's stainless steel consumption accounts for 25% of the world's total, and one third of them are in the circulation market. The domestic self-sufficiency rate is also growing rapidly, and the domestic market will achieve self-sufficiency after three years. The apparent consumption growth of stainless steel in China jumped from 260,000 tons in 1990 to 4.45 million tons in 2004.
