High Pressure Micro Tubing for sCO₂ Recuperators is engineered for supercritical carbon dioxide heat exchanger systems operating in high-pressure, high-temperature, and space-constrained environments. These precision micro tubes serve as core components of microtube recuperator cores, where high-pressure sCO₂ flows through small-diameter tubes while a secondary stream transfers heat across the tube wall. Huashang Steel supplies stainless steel, nickel alloy, and high-temperature alloy micro tubing for sCO₂ recuperator applications, with customizable outer diameter, wall thickness, length, surface finish, cleanliness, and inspection requirements aligned with customer drawings.
For microtube heat exchanger designs, high pressure micro tubing supports reduced heat exchanger volume and increased heat transfer density. The small-diameter structure enables efficient heat exchange between two fluid streams, fitting thermal management systems with strict space and weight constraints. This structure caters to system designs that pursue compact form factors while maintaining stable heat transfer performance.
This micro tubing applies to a range of industrial use cases, including supercritical CO₂ recuperators, sCO₂ Brayton cycle heat exchangers, and high-pressure microtube shell & tube heat exchangers. It also supports modular nuclear heat exchange systems, advanced power generation systems, waste heat recovery systems, aerospace propulsion heat exchangers, space vehicle combustion heat exchangers, high-temperature gas-to-gas heat exchangers, compact liquid-liquid heat exchangers, high-pressure CO₂ thermal management systems, research and pilot-scale energy systems, and high-efficiency compact recuperator cores.

Full-range inspection and quality control procedures are applied to verify dimensional accuracy, material integrity, and performance compliance.
Inspection items cover dimensional checks (outer diameter, inner diameter, wall thickness, length, ovality, straightness), surface and end quality checks (visual inspection, burr inspection, cleanliness inspection), and material verification (PMI testing, chemical composition test). Mechanical and performance tests include tensile test, hardness test, grain size inspection, surface roughness inspection, Eddy Current Testing, and Ultrasonic Testing when applicable. Pressure and leak tests such as hydrostatic pressure test, pneumatic pressure test, and air under water leak test are also conducted. High-temperature mechanical property tests and intergranular corrosion tests are available when required.
All products undergo 100% final inspection before shipment. EN 10204 3.1 material certificates are available for commercial procurement documentation.
The micro tubing is developed to address specific demands of sCO₂ recuperator systems:
Designed for compatibility with high-pressure sCO₂ operating conditions
Delivers high heat transfer surface area per unit volume, enabling compact and lightweight recuperator core designs
Corrosion and oxidation resistance corresponding to the selected material grade
Precision dimensional control with uniform wall thickness and smooth inner bore
Clean, burr-free tube ends for direct assembly
Customizable tube lengths to fit specific system layouts
Available materials include stainless steel (316L / 316H, 304L, 321 / 321H, 310S, 904L), nickel alloy & high-temperature alloy (Inconel 625 / UNS N06625, Inconel 600 / UNS N06600, Incoloy 800H / 800HT, Incoloy 825 / UNS N08825, Hastelloy C276 / UNS N10276), and titanium (Titanium Grade 2, Titanium Grade 5). Additional superalloys and customized titanium alloys can be provided based on project-specific requirements.
Custom sizes are produced strictly according to customer drawings. The standard available range covers outer diameter from 0.2 - 6.0 mm, wall thickness from 0.02 - 1.50 mm, straight tube length up to 12 mtrs, and coil length up to 500 m.
