Stainless steel micro tubes are high-precision tubing with minimal outside diameters and thin wall thicknesses, designed for scenarios requiring precise fluid transfer, heat exchange, instrumentation integration, medical device assembly, and aerospace system deployment. Compared with standard stainless steel tubing, they feature smaller diameters, tighter dimensional tolerances, thinner wall thicknesses, finer surface finish, higher cleanliness standards, and more consistent dimensional uniformity. These properties make the tubing suitable for advanced engineering and high-performance industrial sectors.

To maintain consistent quality and precision across production batches, every stainless steel micro tube undergoes a standardized production workflow: raw material inspection, tube piercing or tube welding, multi-pass cold drawing, precision sizing, bright annealing, straightening, cutting to length, ultrasonic cleaning, surface treatment, dimensional inspection, mechanical testing, and final inspection with packaging.
Huashang Steel implements structured quality control procedures throughout the full production cycle.
Dimensional inspection covers outside diameter measurement, inside diameter measurement, wall thickness inspection, length verification, straightness inspection, and ovality measurement. Chemical analysis includes composition testing, spectrometer analysis, and raw material traceability verification. Positive Material Identification (PMI) is conducted to confirm the correct stainless steel grades are applied.
Mechanical testing includes tensile strength test, yield strength test, elongation test, flattening test, flaring test, and hardness test. Surface quality inspection includes visual inspection, surface roughness testing, and internal surface cleanliness inspection.
Non-destructive testing (NDT) options are selected based on project requirements, including eddy current testing (ECT), ultrasonic testing (UT), dye penetrant testing (PT), and hydrostatic pressure testing. For aerospace, hydrogen, and heat exchanger projects, optional advanced testing is available, covering metallographic examination, grain size analysis, ferrite content test, cleanliness test, and corrosion resistance test.

Stainless steel micro tubes support precision dimensional control, with OD tolerance adjustable to ±0.005 mm for critical applications. They provide corrosion resistance compatible with marine, chemical processing, hydrogen, and cryogenic environments, with minimum wall thickness reaching 0.05 mm. The smooth internal surface supports fluid flow efficiency and reduces pressure drop, while the material structure adapts to high-pressure and high-temperature operating conditions. The tubes also offer weldability suitable for fabrication and assembly into heat exchangers and fluid systems.
Widely used in compact high-efficiency systems including microtube heat exchangers (MTHE), compact heat exchangers, and thermal management systems.
Applied in hydrogen pre-cooling systems, hydrogen refueling stations, hydrogen compressors, and fuel cell cooling systems. They also suit LNG vaporizers, LNG heat exchangers, liquid hydrogen systems, and general cryogenic equipment.
Deployed in aircraft cooling systems, aerospace thermal management, satellite fluid systems, and rocket propulsion support systems for aerospace use. For medical applications, they support surgical instruments, catheter components, medical fluid transfer systems, and diagnostic equipment.
Used in chromatography systems, precision measuring instruments, laboratory equipment, and process control systems for instrumentation. For semiconductor manufacturing, they support ultra-high purity gas delivery, chemical distribution systems, and supporting production equipment.
Stainless steel micro tubes are available in austenitic, super austenitic, and super duplex steel grades, including common options such as 304L, 316L, 321, 347H, 904L, and 2205. Both seamless and welded structures are available across the grade range.
Standard outside diameter ranges from 0.20 mm to 10 mm, wall thickness ranges from 0.05 mm to 2.00 mm, and dimensional tolerance ranges from ±0.005 mm to ±0.05 mm. Custom dimensions can be produced based on customer drawings and specifications.
Standard testing includes dimensional inspection, chemical analysis, PMI grade verification, mechanical testing, and surface quality inspection. Optional non-destructive testing and advanced performance testing are available based on specific project requirements.
