This alloy, a member of the Incoloy family, features a balanced composition of nickel (42-46%), chromium (19-21%), molybdenum (2.5-3.5%), copper (1.5-3.0%), and titanium (0.15-0.60%), creating a unique blend of corrosion resistance, strength, and ductility.
Multi-Environment Resistance: INCOLOY 925 resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and SCC in chloride-rich environments, such as seawater and brine, while also performing well in acidic conditions with low pH. The addition of copper enhances resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrogen sulfide, making it suitable for sour gas applications.
Temperature Versatility: The alloy maintains its mechanical properties from -200°C to 500°C, making it ideal for cryogenic storage and high-temperature processing. It shows excellent oxidation resistance up to 700°C, protecting against scale formation in air or flue gas environments.
