Huashang Steel manufactures custom Heat Exchanger Headers, Heat Exchanger Manifolds and Internal Petal Components from seamless pipe according to customer-approved drawings. These drawing-based components connect, distribute or collect process media within heat exchanger assemblies. Depending on equipment design and customer terminology, they may be described as a Heat Exchanger Header, Heat Exchanger Manifold, Header Manifold, Flow Manifold, Custom Header Assembly, Welded Header Assembly or Fabricated Header Assembly.
Unlike standard pipe fittings, these components do not have universal dimensions. Their profile, curvature, openings, mating surfaces and interface dimensions are manufactured according to approved equipment drawings. The product name corresponds to the actual service medium and circuit designation specified by the customer.
An inlet-side component receives the process medium and directs it toward internal heat exchanger passages. It may be described as an Inlet Header, Inlet Distribution Header, Distribution Header, Distributor Header, Inlet Flow Manifold, Distributor Manifold or Flow Distribution Header.
An outlet-side component collects the medium leaving heat exchanger passages and connects the internal flow circuit with external outlet piping. It may be described as an Outlet Header, Outlet Collection Header, Collection Header, Collector Header, Outlet Flow Manifold, Collector Manifold or Flow Collection Header. The exact distribution or collection function is determined from approved equipment and assembly drawings.
Headers may be classified by service medium, including Fuel Gas Header, CO₂ Header, Water Header, Hydrogen Header, Refrigerant Header, Steam Header, Condensate Header, Thermal Oil Header, Process Gas Header, Hot-Side Header and Cold-Side Header. Some headers are identified by pressure circuit rather than service medium, with common designations including HP Header (High-Pressure Header), IP Header (Intermediate-Pressure Header) and LP Header (Low-Pressure Header). The pressure designation may be combined with the service medium, producing descriptions such as HP Water Header, IP Water Header, HP CO₂ Header or High-Pressure Fuel Gas Header. HP, IP and LP indicate the pressure circuit only and do not establish a universal pressure rating. Applicable pressure, temperature, material and inspection requirements follow the customer's project specification and approved drawings.

Huashang Steel manufactures headers and petals from selected seamless pipe in the following material groups: Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, and Titanium & Titanium Alloy. Material selection follows the customer's project specification and approved drawings. The actual operating temperature and pressure limits are determined by the selected material grade, wall thickness and applicable design codes.
The general manufacturing process includes: (1) selection of seamless pipe according to the required material specification; (2) incoming raw-material inspection; (3) cutting the header or petal blank from the seamless pipe; (4) CNC lathe machining according to the approved drawing; (5) drawing-based dimensional inspection; (6) PMI verification of the finished component; (7) final inspection and release. The actual manufacturing sequence may vary according to component geometry and drawing requirements.
Before production, seamless pipe is inspected or verified for chemical composition, mechanical properties, NDT, outside diameter, wall thickness and other applicable dimensions. These inspections confirm that the raw material meets the specified grade and is suitable for subsequent cutting and CNC machining. After machining, the finished header or petal undergoes drawing-based dimensional inspection, profile and interface verification, visual inspection and PMI verification. Positive Material Identification confirms the material grade and reduces the risk of material mix-up during production.

Custom heat exchanger headers serve across hydrogen energy systems, including hydrogen cooling systems, hydrogen refueling stations and fuel cell cooling modules, where they distribute and collect hydrogen or cooling media. In LNG and cryogenic facilities, they are used in LNG liquefaction plants, LNG regasification systems, LNG chillers and floating LNG (FLNG) units, operating at cryogenic temperatures down to -196°C. Within heat exchanger systems, they support microchannel heat exchangers (MCHE), printed circuit heat exchangers (PCHE), shell and tube heat exchangers and compact heat exchangers. In industrial process systems, they are integrated into gas processing equipment, compressor cooling systems, waste heat recovery units (WHRU), CO₂ cooling systems and pressure vessel assemblies.
