Butt Weld Fittings

Butt weld pipe fittingsare kind of pipe fittings with good quality, which are widely used in the construction industry, mainly including stainless steel, carbon steel, low alloy steel and alloy steel butt welded pipe fittings. Compared with ordinary weld pipe fittings, butt weld fittings have more durable characteristics and are not easy to deteriorate due to the influence of external environmental conditions. Butt Weld fittings play an indispensable role in construction engineering and are popular among common use.

A butt weld fittings are weldable pipe fitting that can change flow direction, branch off, reduce size or connect auxiliary equipment. Butt weld fittings include elbow, tee, reducer, cap and cross. These fittings are the most common type of welded pipe fittings and are specified by nominal pipe size and pipe schedule. The raw materials of butt welded pipe fittings are seamless pipe, welded pipe, forged pipe (high pressure) and steel plate. The forming processes of butt weld fittings is as follow: Extrusion moulding, hot pressing, cold machining, hot machining, welded, heat treatment. Huashang Steel is one of the best buttweld fittings suppliers from China.

Butt Weld Fittings Types

HUASHANG Steel is a professional butt welding steel fitting suppliers china, whose advance fittings carries butt weld tube fittings(weldable pipe fittings). Commonly used butt weld fittings are mainly divided into elbow, tee, reducing pipe and pipe cap, among which elbow, tee, reducing pipe are mostly made of seamless steel pipe or welded steel pipe, through pushing, drawing, extrusion, and pipe cap is mostly made of steel plate stamping. Butt Weld Fittings Manufacture Specification:

ASME/ANSI B16.9, JIS B 2311/2220, DIN2605/2616/2615, EN10253, MSS SP-43/SP-75, GOST 17375/17376/17378/17379

Butt Weld Fittings Type:

-(SMLS or Welded) Elbow,45°,90°,LR,SR
-(SMLS or Welded) Tee
-(SMLS or Welded) Reducer
-(SMLS or Welded) Stub Ends
-(CAP
-Special Type acc. to customer's drawings.

Elbow: according to different sizes, the elbow is divided into long radius elbow and short radius elbow; according to different manufacturing methods, it can be divided into push bending, squeeze bending and pipe bend bevelling.

Tee: according to the size of the diameter, the tee is divided into equal diameter tee, reducing tee, y type tee.

Reducer: reducer usually has concentric reducer and eccentric reducer.

Cap: the cap is usually divided into flat cap and standard oval cap. Among them, the flat cover tube cap is easier to manufacture and lower in price, but its bearing capacity is not as good as that of the standard elliptical head, so it is often used under the condition of DN≤100 and medium pressure below 1.0mpa. The standard is an oval head with flanged edges. The ratio of the inner diameter of the ellipse to the length of the shaft is 2:1. It is the most widely used cap.

Advantages of Butt Weld Pipe Fittings

High Strength: Butt weld pipe fittings are known for their high strength. They maintain the integrity of pipes, ensuring that they can withstand high pressure and heavy loads without cracking or leaking. This makes them ideal for use in heavy-duty industrial applications.

Seamless Flow: These industrial butt weld fittings for sale provide a smooth, continuous flow of fluids. The seamless interior surface reduces the risk of turbulence and pressure drop, ensuring efficient fluid or gas transportation.

Durability: Butt weld steel pipe fittings are highly durable. They are resistant to corrosion, temperature variations, and wear and tear. This makes them suitable for long-term use in various environments, reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Versatility: These fittings come in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and materials, making them versatile for different applications. They can be used in various industries, including oil and gas, chemical, power generation, and water treatment.

Cost-Effective: While the initial cost of the butt weld steel pipe fitting may be higher than other types of fittings, it is cost-effective in the long run. Its durability and low maintenance requirements result in lower overall costs.

Leak-Proof: The design of the butt weld pipe fitting ensures a leak-proof connection. This is crucial in applications where the leakage of fluids or gases can lead to significant safety hazards.

Improved System Performance: By reducing the risk of leaks and providing a seamless flow, butt weld steel pipe fittings can improve the overall performance of a piping system. They ensure that the system operates efficiently and reliably.

Easy Installation: Despite their robust design, industrial butt weld fittings for sale are relatively easy to install. They can be welded into place, providing a secure and permanent connection.

Environmentally Friendly: By preventing leaks and spills, butt weld pipe fittings contribute to environmental protection. They ensure that harmful substances are contained within the piping system, reducing the risk of environmental contamination.

Aesthetic Appeal: Finally, industrial butt weld fittings for sale offer a clean, streamlined look. They do not protrude as much as other types of fittings, contributing to a neat and professional appearance of the piping system.

How A Butt Weld Fitting is Made?

A butt weld fitting is made through a meticulous process that begins with the selection of the appropriate material. This could be stainless steel, carbon steel, or any other metal that is suitable for the intended application. The material, usually in the form of a pipe or a plate, is then cut into the desired shape and size using a cutting machine for precision and consistency.

Once cut, the pieces are shaped into the required form of the fitting, which could be an elbow, tee, reducer, or any other type of fitting. The shaping process typically involves bending the material around a die or mold.

After shaping, the pieces are welded together to form the final fitting. This is done using a welding machine, which fuses the pieces together at high temperatures, ensuring a strong, leak-proof connection.

Following the welding process, the fitting undergoes a finishing process. This involves smoothing the surfaces and removing any excess material from the welding process. The butt weld steel pipe fitting may also be coated or treated to enhance its corrosion resistance and durability.

The final step in the manufacturing process is the inspection of the finished fitting. This ensures that it meets the required specifications and quality standards. The fitting is checked for any defects, such as cracks or leaks, before it is approved for use.
